More evidence this time of just exactly why we think this site is so special. Quality over quantity... there's a little something for everyone stylistically... and it's all really terrific stuff!
First up is Tina Osborn. If you've never heard of her before, that's OK. You won't forget her anytime soon. From the Shawn-Colvin-esque magnificence of Glorious God, to the sweet praise groove of Crying Out to You, to the achingly beautiful loss-and-hope One Day... she's a real treasure... one you're likely to want to share with a friend. You'll find Tina's music on the More Music page.
Next is rocker Marc Andre, who hails from Central Ohio. He's sharing 4 terrific tunes with us...well-produced energetic, melodic rock with a genuinely powerful message. You'll find Marc's music on the Music page.
Virginian Ira White was a touring guitar/singer/songwriter with groups on the East Coast for 12 years before settling down to start his first recording studio for personal and ministry projects. He's got a bit of an old-school sound in terms of his singer/songwriter stuff...rich, tender vocals...tender, personal, insightful lyrics...and he rounds that off with a terrific touch on guitar (both electric and acoustic). Just check out the guitar solo on When God is For Us! And you can also hear more of his guitar work on our sister site, Great Instrumental Downloads. You'll find Ira's music on the More Music page.
Everyone knows Leigh Nash. They just may not KNOW that they know her. This Texas native is the former lead singer of Sixpence None the Richer...and, as such, hers was the beautiful, plaintive voice of the chart-topping hit "Kiss Me" in 1999 and the cover song "There She Goes" the following year. Sixpence disbanded in 2004, and after a bit of break, Leigh is pursuing a solo career. From her new album, Blue on Blue, produced by Pierre Marchand (Sarah McLachlan and many others), she has brought us "Along The Wall" for your downloading and listening enjoyment. You'll find it on the Music page.
Lindy Freeland's life has been filled with music: listening to and analyzing music, piano lessons, flute lessons, high school marching and concert band, singing church solos and singing with the church choir. She attended Belmont University in Nashville studying music, recording, music business, and business. In 1999, she began working as a studio vocalist singing background vocals and leads for song demos, jingles, and albums. She also began writing and recording her own songs and commercial jingles, and started an independent web design business. She loves non-radio music that is big in Europe and major metropolitan areas, such as pop-electronica and underground pop. While she doesn't currently have any recorded product available for sale, she has kindly consented to allow us to share two absolutely amazing songs with you: "Change My Way" and "So That I Could Live" (both available now on our Music page). We're sure you'll be as bowled over as we were!
Ross Walters has been playing on a professional basis since 1981. An in-demand touring musician, he was a member of Donna Summer's band for 8 years, and also recorded with Boyz II Men and toured with Carman and Truth. Ross not only displays prowess on the saxophone family but also excels on flute, harmonica, and keyboards...and he has performed on some of the world's most prestigious stages including Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, and the Monterey Jazz Festival. If you love jazz-infused pop, you're going to love the great energy and sweet melodies of Ross Walters. Check out the two terrific songs, "Sonshine" and "Set My Mind On It" (both available now on our Music page).
The Nomadic Farmers' debut CD took aim at the void between generic-sounding CCM and hard-core/punk with a sound that was uniquely Texas! They've been described as "nuclear-barbequed psychobilly"... a marriage of modern/classic rock with Texas blues...uncompromising in its message. Ted Pearce, the Farmers' amazing lead singer, is today a successful solo artist and half of the reunified 70s Messianic music band Lamb. And we've got 3 great songs from the classic album: Ted Pearce and the Nomadic Farmers.
Nathan and Jenna Strong are After the Chase. They feature captivating lyrics and melodically interesting harmonies, plus a wide variety of acoustic instruments, including piano and acoustic guitar, violin, mandolin, hammered dulcimer, acoustic drums, bass and percussion. You'll find two sweet new songs from their album on the Music page.
How about some live music from Perry and the Poorboys? We've just added 3 new songs to our Music page. Check 'em out!
He's got a voice as smooth as silk... and we've got two of his songs! Give your ears a treat with the jazz-infused pop sounds of Brian Bates.
Just added: Two great tunes from Beth Champion Mason, a talented singer/songwriter whose music has been favorably compared with Alannis and Sarah McLachlan.
Plus, three excellent songs from Elisha's Request. Give them a listen. You'll be impressed. (Hey, that rhymes!)
Also great stuff from Azimuth, Fred Haring, Noelle, Alison Kitchen, The Grace Project and Big Methuselah (featuring Ted Pearce). Multiple songs from each of these artsts.
You're going to be impressed both by how well these songs are crafted, and then how they're delivered from the heart by the individual artists and bands. Check 'em out on the Music page. And be sure to click on their names to visit their web sites and find out more about them. |
